ACA 25 undermines important Constitutional provisions overwhelmingly approved by voters to safeguard legislative transparency.
The plan fails to provide a real guarantee that public access will be protected. Therefore, we urge you to OPPOSE ACA 25!
Assembly Constitutional Amendment 25 would undermine legislative transparency provisions of the State Constitution. Right now, ACA 25 is under consideration in the Legislature. If it passes both houses and is signed by the Governor, it will then be placed on the ballot. With a June 25th deadline looming, Sacramento is rushing this bill through the process without the necessary due diligence. We are urging the Governor to reject this hastily drafted plan.
